This document outlines the terms and conditions for participating in physiotherapy services delivered via telehealth with The Bone Health Physio.
By participating in a telehealth consultation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following information.
1. What Telehealth Is
Telehealth involves the delivery of physiotherapy services using technology such as video conferencing, phone calls, or other digital communication platforms.
Telehealth consultations may include:

Discussion of symptoms and medical history

Movement assessment through video

Exercise prescription and rehabilitation guidance

Education regarding injury management and prevention
2. Limitations of Telehealth
While telehealth can be effective for many musculoskeletal conditions, it has certain limitations.
These may include:

Inability to perform hands-on physical examination

Limited ability to assess certain physical signs

Dependence on technology and internet connection quality

Reliance on patient-reported symptoms and self-performed movements
In some cases, an in-person assessment with a healthcare provider may be recommended.
3. Patient Responsibilities
To ensure safe and effective telehealth consultations, you agree to:

Provide accurate and complete health information

Follow instructions provided by the physiotherapist

Perform exercises only within your comfort and safety limits

Inform the physiotherapist immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, or unusual symptoms during exercises

Ensure you have a safe environment with enough space to perform movements if required
4. Risks
Potential risks of telehealth physiotherapy include:

Misinterpretation of movements due to video limitations

Technical interruptions

Injury if exercises are performed incorrectly or without adequate space
The physiotherapist will take reasonable steps to minimise these risks.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality
Telehealth consultations are conducted using secure technology platforms where possible.
Personal and health information shared during telehealth consultations will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
6. Emergency Situations
Telehealth physiotherapy is not appropriate for medical emergencies.
If you experience a medical emergency, please contact local emergency services immediately.
If the physiotherapist believes your condition requires urgent medical attention, you may be advised to seek in-person care.
7. Consent to Telehealth Treatment
By participating in telehealth consultations with The Bone Health Physio, you acknowledge that:
